Important Financial Aid Information for Graduate Students
Stafford Loan Limits and Benefits
NOTE: The subsidy of the loan is determined by the schools financial aid office. If you do not have sufficient need to qualify for a subsidized loan, you may qualify for an unsubsidized loan. Loan eligibility is determined by the students undergraduate loan amounts/limits and current need. Also, the school may limit the amount that you can borrow based on your enrollment status and credit/clock hours. Step 1Fill out an Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov Step 2Submit a request for financial aid; Go to www.temple.edu/sfs Select Forms and request the appropriate Form for your status Graduate or Non Matriculated. Step 3Complete the online Entrance Counseling Session online at http://www.fc.campusoncall.com/cgi-bin/home.pl?FromAdmin=1&campus=temple. Step 4Check your OwlNet account periodically for award information, when the award information is displayed, proceed to Step 5 Step 5Complete the Master Promissory Note, the promissory note must be signed and sent back to AES/PHEAA at PO Box 8175, Harrisburg, PA 17102 OR you may sign the note electronically using the PIN number assigned to you by the United States Department of Education, the same PIN number you used to sign the FAFSA. You may access the electronic loan application at www.aessuccess.org Select Stafford Loans Apply now. Third Party BillingIf your employer is paying your tuition up front, they must write a letter verifying that they will pay the tuition in full upon receiving a bill. The letter must be dated, signed and verified on company letter head. The letter should be sent to Temple University Harrisburg, 234 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg PA 17101 to the attention of Shellie R. Smith, Student Financial Services Specialist. Note: If your employer offers tuition reimbursement, this is NOT 3rd Party Billing. You are responsible to pay your tuition up front and your employer will reimburse you. The school will not hold your bill until you receive the funding from your employer. ConfirmationIf there is a delay in processing your financial aid or you have not received notification of your financial aid; you may need to confirm your enrollment in the selected class. You may do this by accessing OWLnet, and select the tab Financial Service and then select Confirmation. Enrollment VerificationIf you need correspondence verifying your enrollment at Temple University Harrisburg, you can create this letter at OWLnet. Select, "Additional Services", then select "Verify Enrollment" located on the left side. You can print the enrollment verification letter for any period of enrollment at the school.
