The History of Play Therapy

This 6 hour workshop covers the development of play therapy over the past 80 years, discussing the major theorists and the current challenges to the practice of play therapy.At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

• Delineate at least 3 significant events in the development of play therapy
• Demonstrate increased understanding of at least 2 major theories in the field of play therapy
• Identify at least 1 present challenge to the field of play therapy{This workshop meets the APT play therapy specific training requirement in play therapy history}
