How are these forms of violence related and how often do they co-exist? This lecture will explore the connection between these forms of violence. One study showed that animal abuse was reported in 88% of homes referred to physical abuse of children. Additionally we will talk about practical techniques for talking to children about their pets that can help tell us what if anything, they have also experienced.
