Common Diseases in the Elderly: An Overview

This course will provide an overview of the common presenting signs and symptoms, as well as treatments in cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases; diabetes mellitus (types 1 and 2); musculoskeletal diseases; neurological disease; cancer and genitourinary and gastrointestinal disorders. This day is designed to be a comprehensive review of the major disease systems impacted upon the elderly and will be an excellent introduction, or refresher, for nurses and social workers.
