TUH Continuing Education Continuing Education

The Temple University Harrisburg Office of Continuing Education program is committed to providing educational growth and professional development opportunities and strives to offer a comprehensive array of high quality, affordable and relevant continuing education programs, agency based trainings, and consultation services designed to meet the needs of professionals in the region.

We do this through establishing collaborative relationships with community organizations and agencies, anticipating and responding to the lifelong training and professional development needs of a diverse and changing community and developing and offering quality credit and non credit programs. We welcome all ideas and suggestions for future workshops and invite submission of proposals from those interested in developing workshops.

2008 Child Abuse Related Video Conferencing Series

The Children´s Resource Center of Pinnacle Health in cooperation with Temple University Harrisburg School of Social Administration is offering the following educational topics via videoconferencing in 2008. Each conference is approved for two continuing education hours for social workers through Temple University School of Social Administration. Certificates of attendance documenting 2 continuing education hours will be issued by Temple University Harrisburg for a fee of $10 per certificate. Pre-registration is required no later than one week prior by calling 717-782-6800.

Real Estate Continuing Educationlink opens in new window

Temple University´s Real Estate Institute is offering online continuing education courses for real estate salespersons and brokers. Completion of these courses will fulfill the entire 14 hours of continuing education required for the 2006-2008 license renewal period. Courses need to be completed by May 31, 2008.

Upon completion, we will electronically transfer your credit hours to the PA Real Estate Commission, however, all licensees must renew their own license.

The Philadelphia Standards for Excellence

Stay ahead of the curve by improving transparency, ensuring accountability and increasing operational efficiency through the Standards for Excellence. Sponsored by Goldenberg Rosenthal LLP, this seminar is geared toward Executive Directors, Board members, those who work with and/or desire to work with nonprofit organizations.

Advanced Grant Writing Seminar

Temple University in partnership wqith the Schuylkill Community Education Council will offer an advanced grant writing course designed to provide participants with the resources and knowledge to submit for government and foundation support. The purpose of this three session seminar is to guide participants the grant writing process.
