Advanced Grantwriting Seminar

Temple University in partnership with the Schuylkill Community Education Council will offer an advanced grantwriting course designed to provide participants with the resources and knowledge to submit for government and foundation support. The purpose of this three session seminar is to guide participants the grant writing process.

Mahanoy City Site

Includes 3 sessions

Instructor: Dr. Zanis

$10 registration fee

Session 1 - March 14

Participants will: (a) identify a funding source; (b) conceptualize a statement of need, (c) understand how to secure pilot data for project inclusion; and (d) outline the entire proposal.

Session 2 - March 28

Participants will: (a) develop a timeline activities table; (b) prepare a budget and budget justification; (c) develop the grant proposal include goals/objectives and logic models; (d) learn how to secure project partnerships; and (e) identify their organizational strengths.

Session 3 - April 18

Participants will learn how to evaluate their project either internally or through collaboration with an outside consultant. The majority of this session will be focused on preparing the grant proposal. The instructor will provide hands on critique and help participants to understand how write from a persuasive perspective.
