Underneath the umbrella, a pathetic celebration:
Delicious hips, a whole body, a purse-snatching smile.
He is heaven enough.

In next-to-nothing, I see rough nipples,
Reach down to touch his soft hair,
And in a gesture of sweet, he clings to me,
Forcing my knees to buckle and my pelvis to
Spring forth.

We are two clowns trashing bodies:
Struck dumb with insult, propped up with comic books.
Beside us, women wearing molasses open their
Wide orange gash of mouths and
Clobber, clobber, clobber.

Feeling well enough, but inside, inside.....
     A tumult of ash
          And a foot comes down.
