Application Type:
Applicants must hold a B.A. or B.S. degree, with a major in geology or in any other related program in science or mathematics, including at least five courses in geology and one year of college-level chemistry, calculus, and physics or biology. Program admissions are limited and competitive.

Letters of recommendation should be obtained from college/University Faculty members familiar with academic competence.

Statement of Goals:
The Statement of Goals should be approximately 500-1000 words and should include the following elements: your specific interest in Temple's program; your research goals;· your future career goals; and your academic and research achievements.

Standardized Test Scores:
The GRE is required. Typically students score in the 50 percentile or higher in the three areas.

Minimum TOEFL score or range of scores needed to be accepted:
620 on the paper-based test or 260 on the computer-based test.
