Main Campus

Temple University's Main Campus is located in the heart of Philadelphia. The sprawling 94.5 acre campus is just two miles north of bustling Center City, which is the city's financial, cultural, historical, and retail hub. With a population of over 1.5 million, Philadelphia is the second largest city on the East Coast and ranks fifth in the nation. Philadelphia is located 100 miles south of New York City, 130 miles north of Washington, D.C., and 60 miles from the Jersey shore.

Academically, the Main Campus is the central administrative site of the University and houses ten of Temple's schools and colleges, including

  • College of Liberal Arts
  • Esther Boyer College of Music and Department of Dance

The Main Campus can be reached easily by public transportation using the "C" bus on Broad Street, the Broad Street Subway (Cecil B. Moore stop), AMTRAK at North Broad Street Station, and SEPTA Commuter Rail Lines at 10th and Berks Streets.
