The Rally for Higher Education

All members of the Temple community are invited to join Temple Student Government as well as student leaders from the Pennsylvania State University, the University of Pittsburgh and Lincoln University, for the Rally for Higher Education in the Capitol Rotunda. The rally will be held on Feb.15 to advocate for funding and celebrate the contributions of the state-related universities to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Rally for Higher Education is part of the Temple community’s efforts to demonstrate to state elected officials the importance of supporting the university and higher education. Legislators will soon begin debating the amount of Temple’s Commonwealth appropriation, which provides crucial support to all of the university’s educational activities.

Free transportation to and from Harrisburg will depart from 13th and Montgomery Ave. at 8 a.m. on the morning of Feb. 15.  Buses returning to campus will depart Harrisburg shortly after 2 p.m.

Students are encouraged to wear cherry and white Temple apparel.  Registration is required to receive free transportation.  Members of the faculty have been encouraged to excuse students attending the rally from class for the day.

Registration is closed
