George Kenney was named director of commonwealth and federal relations in 2010. In this role, he works with legislative leaders in Washington and Harrisburg to gain their support for legislation and appropriations that are important for fulfilling Temple's mission.
George represented the 170th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 24 years. There, he served as chairman of the House Health and Human Services Committee.
George is a graduate of LaSalle University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. George serves on the board of the Pennsylvania March of Dimes. Additionally, he and his wife Liz are active in numerous community organizations. They reside with their children in the Somerton section of Philadelphia.
