Research in Earth and Environmental Science Dept
The Department of Earth and Environmental Science has 7 tenure track faculty as of 2008, and it undergoing a period of hiring and expansion.
The faculty are actively engaged in research, presenting results at regional, national and international scientific symposia. The program enrolls about 12 full-time graduate students. Our graduates have been very successful in securing work in the geologic industry or in geology doctoral programs.
Undergraduates can also participate in research by contacting the individual faculty member in their area of interest.
