Temple University’s Russian program is proud to host the Delaware Valley Olympiada.  This is a regional competition of high school students of Russian sponsored by the American Council of Teachers of Russian as part of the international Olympiada.  Every year some regional Olympiada winners win a subsidized trip to Russia to participate in a study abroad program; Delaware Valley winners have participated in this trip in the past and we look forward to more winners in the years to come.

The Delaware Valley Olympiada is made possible in part through generous funding from the East European, Russian and Eurasian National Research Center of Columbia University.

In February 2008, approximately 100 students from 5 different schools participated in the Delaware Valley Olympiada:  Here are pictures of the teams from each of the 5 schools.
