The 2009 Delaware Valley Olympiada
will be held
on the main campus
of Temple University

on Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

Schools must register their student participants by Monday, March 2. 

Contact George Morris to register and pay ACTR participation fees.

Unregistered students will not be allowed to participate in the Olympiada.

Students may only participate at the level for which they were preregistered.

Teachers: check your registration materials carefully.

No substitutions will be allowed!

New fees for 2009:  $6 per student for students in schools with teachers who are ACTR members, $7.50 per student for students in schools with teachers who are not ACTR members.  Join ACTR!!!

Tentative Schedule of Events

The Olympiada will be held in the Gittis Student Activity Center at 1755 N. 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122.  This building is located at the corner of N. 13th Street and Montgomery Avenue.  Our registration and orientation will be in the Student Center Annex, entrance on N. 13th Street between Montgomery and Cecil B. Information for bus drivers:  After dropping students and teachers off at the Gittis Student Activity Center, drivers should park their buses in the 2100 Block of Park Ave. This location is off of Diamond St. before you get to Broad St.

8:30-9:00  Registration in the Student Underground (basement of Student Center Annex); all schools must arrive by 9 am!

9:00-9:30  Introduction of judges, orientation to day's events

9:30-1:30  Competition (students and teachers will eat lunch on their own in the Student Center Food Court); students will go to the 2nd floor of the Student Activity Center to compete at their assigned level in each of the commissions.

2:00-2:30 Teachers meet with Ben Rifkin in Student Underground

2:30-3:00  Announcement of Olympiada Results

3:00 End of Program, students dismissed

Schools must arrive and register by 9 am; our program will be over by 3 pm.
