Project Description: This project involves the relocation of all components of the Tyler School of Art to the Main Campus via construction of a new facility. Tyler School of Art has been located at the Elkins Park campus for approximately 60 years. In an effort to make the School into a more active and visible member of the University, and to give students access to a wide range of resources, the School will relocate to a new facility on the Main Campus. The new building will provide students with improved facilities, new studios, and increased access to technology. The new building will house all of the academic programs presently located at the Tyler campus: Ceramics, Exhibitions, Fibers/Fabric design, Foundation, Glass, Graphic and Interactive Design, Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM, Painting & Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, Publications/Tyler Design Workshop, and Sculpture. |
