Project Description:  The expansion of the Steam Plant is required simultaneously with  the addition of Student Center Phase II, 1800 Liacouras Walk, Fox School of Business & Management addition, and Baptist Temple .  Currently, the Office of Facilities Management has utilized a temporary boiler installation outside of the steam plant which provides additional capacity to support the heating requirements of the Student Center and Liacouras Walk.  Due to emission codes and the nature of a temporary installation, additional capacity on a permanent basis must occur to support all of the upcoming new building openings.  This project is to be phased and scheduled in conjunction with the opening of the FSBM.  Phase I included the design of the additional boiler capacity and preliminary purchase of the boiler equipment. Phase II includes the installation of the replacement boilers and all proper air management controls and devices to comply with current air management standards.
Project Completion:  November 2008
