Estimated Project Cost:  $454,000

Project Description:  This space will accommodate a 15 to 20-person seminar room and space for the Film/Media Arts Department, which includes 14 faculty offices, a department chair office, an administrative assistant office, check-out and storage area for student-use film/media equipment, and a copy/mail room.

Justification:  This space has been vacated by the WRTI radio station due to their move into the new Entertainment Community and Education Center (ECEC).  The re-use of this space for the Film/Media Arts Department will provide an unmet academic need for the SCAT and will allow consolidation of faculty and provision of two student functions:  a 20-seat instructional seminar room and an adequate depot for students to borrow film and media equipment for classroom assignments.  Current space for this function is inadequate.
