Project Description: Temple University’s existing Student Center is a 4-story, 133,615 gross square foot building located at the Southeast corner of 13th and Montgomery Streets. In Fall, 2001, the first phase of a renovation and expansion project was completed. This consisted of renovations for a new 700-seat food service area and 16,600 square feet of new construction. Phase 2 will provide renovations to 37,930 square feet of building space and a new addition in the 86,000 square foot range. The new construction will accommodate enhanced student activities functions, and areas lost to the Phase 1 renovation. Functions to be accommodated are: a game room, lounges, cinema, non-alcoholic student entertainment center, student organization offices, meeting rooms, administrative offices, etc. |
