Exterior Finishes: The existing building is brick veneer.  The proposed new 4 story addition will be brick veneer, glass curtain walls and a metal panel system.

Project Description:  Temple University’s existing Student Center is a 4-story, 133,615 gross square foot building located at the Southeast corner of 13th and Montgomery Streets.  

In Fall, 2001, the first phase of a renovation and expansion project  was completed.  This consisted of renovations for a new 700-seat food service area and 16,600 square feet of new construction. 

Phase 2 will provide renovations to 37,930 square feet of building space and a new addition in the 86,000 square foot range. The new construction will accommodate enhanced student activities functions, and areas lost to the Phase 1 renovation.   Functions to be accommodated are: a game room, lounges, cinema, non-alcoholic student entertainment center, student organization offices, meeting rooms, administrative offices, etc.
