WIN A $500 SCHOLARSHIP!
The Seventh Annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference is an event focusing
on the role of entrepreneurial women in Philadelphia, and is sponsored by the
Temple University League for Entrepreneurial Women (LEW).
This year’s conference will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006.
For the past few years, we have sponsored an essay competition
that has generated outstanding scholarly work addressing issues such as attributes
necessary for entrepreneurial success. In conjunction with this year’s conference,
LEW is proud to once again announce its essay competition for Temple University students.
Scholarships of $500 will be awarded for outstanding scholarly work addressing the topic below.
If Philadelphia is the next “best city,” how do we get there? What kinds of new business
ventures can make Philadelphia a great place to live, work and play?
Support your thesis with discussion from relevant texts, interviews and other materials.
Eligibility:
Open to current Temple University undergraduate and graduate students, and women
are especially encouraged to participate.
Essay Guidelines:
· Up to 3 pages in length
· Typed in 12-point font, double-spaced with one-inch margins
· Include a title page with name, department, school, major, email address, expected year of graduation
