Carol Burke, Ph.D.

Carol Burke is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at the University of California at Irvine. Her publications include a book of poems, two collections of family folklore, a creative writing text, a book on women in prison, and a book on military culture, Camp All-American, Hanoi Jane, and the High-and-Tight: Gender, Folklore, and Changing Military Culture, available June 1, 2004, from Beacon Press.
