The College of Engineering has the following scholarships available to eligible Temple University students enrolled in an undergraduate engineering major. All scholarship applications are due May 30, 2008 and unless specified otherwise in the application.
The Boeing Company Scholarships
- Awarded to students in Mechanical and/or Electrical/Computer Engineering
- Preference given to women and minorities
- Must have a recommendation from the ECE or ME Department
- Must have approval of the Chairperson of the ECE or ME Department
- Based on merit
- Must complete and submit Boeing Scholarship application form by August 27, 2008.
Turner Construction Co. Scholarship
- Awarded to one undergraduate student with preference given to
underrepresented women and underrepresented men to include African American, Hispanic/Latino, native American, and Asian American who are graduates of a Philadelphia public high school and are permanent residents of the City of Philadelphia.
- Based on merit and financial need
- Award is greater than $1,000.00
- This is an annual award
- Must complete scholarship application
Robert J. Stone Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Awarded to one undergraduate Civil Engineering student
- Must have a recommendation from the CEE Department
- Must have approval of the Chairperson of the CEE Department
- Based on merit and financial need
- Annual award < $1000
- Must complete scholarship application
PECO Energy Scholarship
- Awarded to one Civil Engineering student who is following the Environmental Engineering plan of study in that program
- Must have a recommendation from the CEE Department
- Must have approval of the Chairperson of the CEE Department
- Based on merit and financial need
- Annual award >= $1000
- Must complete scholarship application
Bill and Dianne Mensch Endowed Scholarship
- Awarded to on undergraduate student in Computer or Electrical Engineering
- Based on merit and financial need
- Must have a recommendation from a faculty member in the ECE Department
- Must have approval of the Chairperson of the ECE Department
- Annual award < $1000
- Must complete scholarship application
Jaqua Foundation Endowed Scholarship
- Awarded to 1-2 undergraduate students from New Jersey in any major
- Based on merit and financial need
- Must have approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies
- Annual award >= $1000
- Must complete scholarship application
Verage and Seda Tarzian Scholarship
- Awarded to 1 junior or senior Electrical Engineering student
- Based on financial need
- Must have recommendation from Electrical Engineering faculty member
- Recipient must be U.S. Citizen
- Annual award < $1000
- Must complete scholarship application
Victor K. Schutz Scholarship
Alvin Greenspan Endowed Scholarship Fund
- Awarded to 1-2 students in any department
- Based on financial need and academic achievement
- Scholarship may be applied to tuition or engineering text books
- Recommendation from a faculty member recommended
- Annual award >= $1000
- Must complete scholarship application
Onesky Engineering, Inc. Scholarship
- Awarded to 1 junior or senior Civil or Environmental Engineering major
- Based on financial need and academic excellence
- Strong preference given to students with an interest in alternative energy and energy efficiency
- Must have recommendation from faculty member in CEE department
- Annual award >= $1000
- Must complete scholarship application
Temple University FIRST Scholarship
- In partnership with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), Temple University will award up to four $2500 per year merit scholarships, renewable annually for a total of four years and contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA, to students enrolled in full time study in a College of Engineering major. High school juniors and seniors may apply.
