Congratulations to Professor Robert Yantorno, who has been awarded a $150,000 grant by the United States Air Force Research Laboratories, to work on an "Automatic Keyword Spotting" research project. This research will involve automatically extracting words from conversations in Arabic. Applications of this research range from homeland security to commercial uses.

His co-principal investigator for this grant is Dr. Uchechukwu Abanulo (Ofoegbu), who is an alumna of Temple University’s College of Engineering. Rose Muganga, currently pursuing a Master's degree here, will be working with them on this research.
