The College of Engineering congratulates two of its graduate students for receiving awards at the 34th Annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference held at Brown University. Mehdi Shafieian, a graduate student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, won 4th place in the poster competition. His poster, titled "An In Vitro and Finite Element Model for Traumatic Injury in Porcine Aorta," was one of 70 poster presentations.

Additionally, Nazanin Toosi, a graduate student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, received a travel award to attend the 34th Annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference based on an essay she submitted.
