Electrical & Computer Engineering
Electrical engineers are involved in multiple design aspects: the design and development of telecommunication networks, in the design and manufacture of consumer electronics, in the development of control systems for space vehicles of research, manufacturing, development, design, planning, and testing equipment.
Computer engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, and the application of computers and digital systems. The field covers hardware, software, and the interaction between them. Computer engineers develop networks, microprocessors, computers, and workstations for the servers and switches that support the internet. They also deal with the integration of hardware and protocols that support the telecommunications network. Computer engineers build microprocessor chips that control computers and other electronic hardware.
Bioelectrical engineering is a new and fast growing direction of electrical engineering. Bioelectrical Engineers integrate science of living systems, human anatomy, and physiology with principles and tools of electrical and electronic engineering. Bioelectrical Engineers occupy positions in the areas of biomedical signal and image processing, assistive devices for the impaired, and bioelectronics.
