Graduate Curriculum

All MSE and MS in Bioengineering students must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of coursework to complete the degree requirements. Students can select the research or non-research option. Students in the thesis option must complete a total of 24 semester hours of coursework and 6 semester hours of a master’s thesis. Students intending to complete a research project must complete 27 semester hours of coursework and 3 semester hours of an independent research project.  Students pursuing the non-research option must take 30 semester hours of coursework with the permission of the relevant department.

Listed below, under the specific master’s degree program, is a summary of core courses and electives specific to the degree program and track (if applicable). For more detailed information regarding curriculum requirements, please contact your academic advisor or the relevant departmental Graduate Director.
