Planning to travel this semester? Traveling is fun. Being sick while away is not!
Employee Health provides comprehensive evaluation for international travelers. Most immunizations are available in our office. Employee Health also provides counseling for such things as traveler’s diarrhea and malaria. Our office will recommend and administer vaccines necessary for travel and write prescriptions for anti-diarrhea medication and malaria prophylaxis.
We recommend scheduling an appointment 4-6 weeks prior to your departure date. We reference the Centers for Disease Control (http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/list) for the most up to date information regarding your travel needs.
In our office we can administer Tetanus Diphtheria Pertussis, Influenza, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Polio, Typhoid and Varicella.
Most insurance plans will cover your office visits and some vaccines. We also have self pay pricing if insurance does not cover the cost of your vaccines.
