How to Apply - ESL Certificate Program
Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- A copy of a Pennsylvania level I or level II teaching certificate or evidence that the candidate is enrolled in a certification program.
- Two letters of recommendation, one from a professor and one from a professional supervisor. All references should be sent in individually sealed envelopes to the ESL Certificate Program office. Please see the Reference Report for Graduate Study [pdf].
- Applicants seeking endorsement for the Pennsylvania ESL certificate should download and submit the ESL Credential Evaluation Form [PDF]*.

Deadlines
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants can expect a decision within two weeks of receipt of a complete application, including all supplemental materials.
