Teacher Education at Temple University
Welcome to Temple University’s Teacher Education programs! We are committed to training innovative and dedicated teachers who will improve the lives of children in the Philadelphia area and beyond. We offer hands-on courses based on the latest research and methodology, meaningful student teaching and field experiences and convenient continuing education programs for busy professionals.
We invite you to explore our undergraduate, graduate and professional development programs for early childhood, middle grades, secondary, career and technical and special education as well as our E = MC2 program for individuals who have a degree in another field and are interested in pursuing a teaching certificate.
Information for Prospective Students:
Please select one of the following options that most closely reflects your situation and goals:
- I am not currently certified to teach but would like to earn my teaching certificate and a bachelor’s degree in education.
- I am not currently certified to teach but already have a bachelor’s degree in another field and want to explore a teaching career.
- I am an undergraduate majoring in something other than education at Temple and would like to earn a teaching certificate and master’s degree in education.
- I am already certified to teach and have a bachelor’s degree but want to increase my knowledge or earn another certificate.
