Regions for Student Teaching: Early Childhood and Secondary Education

When applying for student teaching, Early Childhood and Secondary Education applicants must indicate two preferred regional areas where you would like to be placed. At least one of these regions must be located within the Philadelphia area. The Student Teaching Field Placement Coordinator will use your indicated preferences as a guide to selecting the appropriate school that meets the requirements of your program and Temple's guidelines for in-field placements.

You cannot be guaranteed a specific placement in a specific schools and applicants are not permitted to request placements directly with a school or teacher.

Important note: Middle Grades placements for Fall 2013 will ONLY include Philadelphia Schools and Charter Schools. Regional preference does not apply for Middle Grades applicants for Fall 2013.

Philadelphia Regions

Listed below is each regional area and the names of schools where Temple students may be placed within that region. Not all schools listed will have placements available each year and no applicant is guaranteed a placement in a specific school.
