EDUC TESOL Cert 01a Core Knowledge and Skill Students will demonstrate knowledge of language structure, grammar, and acquisition; communication methods; literacy development, and support services for English Language Learners (ELLs)
EDUC TESOL Cert 01a.01 Structure Knowledge of the structure of the English language/grammar and pronunciation, including lexical, morphological, syntax and phonological components.
EDUC TESOL Cert 01a.02 Lang Acquisition Knowledge of the process of first and second language acquisition. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 01a.03 Communication Knowledge to assist ELLs to communicate using verbal and nonverbal language. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 01a.04 Literacy Development Knowledge of the process of literacy development for second language learners and strategies to assist ELLs in the different stages of second language acquisition.
EDUC TESOL Cert 01a.05 Support Services Knowledge of available all school support services that can assist the ELLs in language acquisition/content learning. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 01a.06 Behaviors Knowledge of behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes of multicultural and multilingual learners and families. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 01b Core Knowledge and Skill Students will demonstrate and utilize methods, strategies, and resources that address the educational needs of ELLs in their learning process. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 01b.01 Methods Knowledge of methods, strategies, and resources that address the educational needs of ELLs in their learning process, including the use of computer technology. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 01b.02 Instructional Strategies Knowledge to utilize meaningful instructional strategies that support the ELL/students culture and acculturation process. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 01c Core Knowledge and Skill Students will demonstrate knowledge of how to facilitate communication and understanding between schools, parents, and ELL students.
EDUC TESOL Cert 01c.01 Parental Involvement Knowledge to promote parental/family involvement and participation regarding their children's accomplishments and educational needs and to assist in the development of ELLs projected services. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 01c.02 Facilitate Knowledge of how to facilitate the English Language Learners (ELLs), and their families, in understanding and collaborating with ESL and other school staff. 
EDUC TESOL CERT 02 Research Students will demonstrate an understanding of why it is important to base instructional and curricular decisions on empirical research, and also an will recognize that research differs in quality and information value
EDUC TESOL CERT 03 Assessment Students will demonstrate knowledge of formal/informal assessment tools, and an Individualized Education Plan, to use with ELLs who have been identified as special education students. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 04 Diversity Students will demonstrate knowledge of and understanding and sensitivity towards diverse cultures.
EDUC TESOL Cert 04.01 Multicultural Info Knowledge of teaching strategies and resources that promote multicultural information through various curricula. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 04.02 Understanding Knowledge of how to promote school staff's understanding and sensitivity towards cultures other than American and languages other than English. 
EDUC TESOL Cert 04.03 Diverse Cultures Knowledge of how other cultures compare/relate to the American culture in areas as communities, businesses, languages, education, and systems in other countries.
