Summary of Position

The Department of Psychological Studies in Education at Temple University seeks to hire a productive faculty member in the area of educational psychology who can provide leadership in the program. The rank of the position is open; scholars at all ranks are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a research program and teaching expertise in mainstream areas of educational psychology, but of particular interest are those with expertise in motivation, learning, self-regulation, or skill acquisition in school settings. Additional desired but non-required attributes include knowledge of test construction theory, use of advanced statistical techniques, a focus on the education of at-risk students, and a track record of (or potential for) grant funding.
