RIGHT COLUMN CONTENT
The College of Education Doctoral Hooding Ceremony
- 6:45 P.M. Graduates are asked to sign-in at the registration
table located in Owl Cove, Mitten Hall.
- 7:00 P.M. Graduates
are asked to begin to line up. You will be lined up in order of your faculty hooder. Staff members will be available to assist in the order of the processional. You will carry your hood on your right arm as you process.
- 7:30 P.M.Graduates will begin the processional followed by the
faculty. Attendants will assist students in filling in the designated rows.
During
the hooding ceremony:
- (1) The name of your faculty hooder will be announced, and he or she will then call your name
- (2) Please come forward and face the audience in front of your hooder.
- ( 3) You will be hooded by the designated
faculty member;
- (4) You will shake Dean McGuire's hand and exit the staging area and return to your seat.
- 8:30 P.M. The
program concludes with a recessional. The administrative staff and faculty
will exit the stage followed by the graduates. A reception immediately
follows in the Alcoves adjacent to the Great Court.
