Master's Programs in Education-Related Fields*

The College offers Master's in Education degrees in the following:

  • Educational Administration
    The master's program in Educational Administration prepares professionals for leadership positions in the direction and management of K-12 schools and higher education. The program offers preparation for the roles of principal, business administrator, and superintendent and for other administrative positions in schools, school districts, colleges, and universities.
  • Urban Education
    The Urban Education Masters Program at Temple University serves school-based educators seeking to enhance their understanding of subjects such as social theory, national education policy, urban education reform, and the history of urban education. The program also addresses the needs of professionals involved in community-based education, adult literacy, community organizing, community development, afterschool programs and family centers.
  • Adult & Organizational Development
    The master’s program prepares students for professional positions in the fields of adult learning and organizational development. The program supports professionals whose work focuses on facilitating developmental changes in individuals, teams or organizations.
  • Applied Behavioral Analysis
    The Interdisciplinary Master of Science in Education Program in Applied Behavior Analysis is a joint program between the College of Education and the Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts. The program seeks to enable students to work proficiently with the coherent system of concepts and principles of behavior analysis, preparing them for professional careers as education professionals in a variety of environments.
  • Counseling Psychology
    The Counseling Psychology Program offers graduate coursework leading to the Master of Education degree in Counseling Psychology, with specialization in either of two tracks: Agency Counseling Track – prepares students to work with individuals, couples, families, and groups in various settings; or the School Counseling Track – prepares students to work with students, teachers, administrators, and parents in either an elementary or secondary school setting.
  • Educational Psychology
    The General Educational Psychology/Instructional Psychology concentration provides a general preparation in the broad field of Educational Psychology with the courses focusing on learning and conceptual processes, human development, and applied data analysis and research methodology. The Professional Development for Teachers concentration is designed for in-service teachers who are seeking to up-grade their skills in areas relevant to Educational Psychology.
  • School Psychology
    The program offers three levels of training: (a) courses which provide theoretical and scientific foundations for the practice of school psychology; (b) courses which blend theoretical and practical issues; and (c) courses which are designed to provide practical experience in the application of psychological knowledge to real-life problems of school children.
