RIGHT COLUMN TITLE
Graduate Student Assistantships allow students to gain practical and academic learning experience while providing financial assistance to complete their programs. Available appointments vary by each department and program, but generally assistantships require 20-hours per week commitment and receive tuition remission and a stipend.
When to Apply: Applications from continuing students for graduate assistant positions are due by December 15th for the upcoming academic year. You must already be accepted to a full-time graduate program at Temple University. Students applying for a Fall 2008 admission will be considered for an assistantship as part of their application review. If you would like to be considered for an assistantship, please include the application in your admission materials.
Qualifications: To be considered, an applicant must be a matriculated full-time student and maintain a GPA of 3.5. International students who wish to be considered for a Teaching Assistantship must meet the above requirements as well as take and pass the Test of Spoken English (former Speak Test).
How to Apply: To apply, complete this College of Education Application for Assistantship (pdf), attach a current resume, and return it to Dr. Jan Greenough in the Graduate Programs Office.
Please email your completed application, including your current resume, to the Director of Graduate Programs:
