Graduate Admissions

Students who wish to apply to one of the graduate degree programs in the College should:

1) Review the College's Graduate Programs offerings to determine any special requirements or deadlines.

2) Complete the online Graduate School Application. The application is also available in paper form in the Shimada Resource Center, Ritter Annex 150; however, the online application is strongly preferred.

3) Submit transcript, letters of recommendation, and other application materials as detailed by the Program page to the Graduate Programs Office, Ritter Annex 150, not to the individual department. Failure to do so may result in delay in completing and reviewing your application.

Admission Deadlines

Each graduate program has unique deadlines for submission of completed applications and you should check with your specific program. Students should remember that an application will NOT be reviewed until all required materials have been received. Some programs have a rolling admissions policy. However, you are strongly encouraged to apply early in the cycle to assure you a place. Once the class is filled, your application may be rolled over to the next term. Please refer to the links below for specific deadlines for the program of interest.

Admission Materials

in general, all materials should be received by the application deadline. . Please be sure that the following materials are sent to the Graduate Programs Office, Ritter Annex 150 in time to meet that deadline::

For information on your application status or application procedures, please contact the Graduate Programs Office directly, not the department.

Required Clearances for Working in Pennsylvania Schools

Due to the variety of research requirements and opportunities that may involve working directly with schools or students, it is recommended that Graduate Students complete required clearances as soon as they begin their program in the College of Education.

Readmission

A student who has withdrawn, been dismissed for failure to maintain continuous enrollment for more than one semester, or has exceeded the time limit and is therefore ineligible to register, may be required to file a new Application for Admission. If accepted, the student is considered newly matriculated at the time of admission and will be required to complete all current program requirements.
