Educational Psychology Masters of Education (Ed.M.)

Program Description:

The program’s mission is to advance the understanding of learning, cognition, and human development as these processes apply to educational processes and practices. The Educational Psychology program is characterized by a strong theoretical and research orientation, the interplay of theory and practice, an interdisciplinary approach, and a commitment to service.

Coursework focuses on three major areas: learning and conceptual processes, human development, and applied data analysis (assessment). Courses are offered on a flexible schedule and students may complete some courses or the entire degree online.

Program Requirements:

The Educational Psychology Ed.M. program requires that students successfully complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of required coursework and pass a comprehensive examination. Most courses are offered in the evening to accommodate working professionals. In addition, students may elect to complete some courses or the entire degree online. The length of time to complete the master’s degree program varies depending upon the number of courses taken each semester. Students may enroll part-time or full-time.
