The Adult and Organizational Development (AOD) program is rooted in the premise that education is a life-long endeavor which is highly valued not only in traditional educational institutions but also in many professional and workplace settings. The Adult and Organizational Development program provides students with professional competencies in a range of related areas including the ability to:
- assess adult learning and training needs
- design effective training and personal development programs
- assess team performance and design effective team development interventions
- conduct organizational assessments and design organizational development strategies
- diagnose barriers to effective group communication and conduct effective facilitation of group decision-making processes
- analyze difficult conflict issues and design useful conflict intervention strategies
- design dispute resolution systems and oversee third party intervention programs involving mediation, negotiation, restorative justice and hearing panels
