As author and global trainer-consultant, Rod translates the basics of leadership into everyday practice for individuals and teams. Rob has published a dozen books on training and change for managers, teams and organizations, including the 7th edition of Groups: Theory and Experience and The Courage to Act. Dr. Napier is also influential as the professor of Temple’s PEP program in the 1960s and 70s.
Topic: “The leadership pyramid: What gives you the right to lead anyway?”
Also, this event will be in honor of Dr. Mel Silberman, 67, Professor Emeritus at Temple's College of Education. He was a pioneer in the field of education psychology and training and a founder of vibrant Jewish communities in Philadelphia, Princeton, and Oean Grove. Dr. Silberman died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 20, 2010.
Mel is survived by his wife, Dr. Shoshanna Silberman, three children: Steven (Sara) Silberman and Gabriel Silberman both of Brighton, MA; and Dr. Lisa Silberman Brenner (Rabbi Daniel Silberman Brenner) of Montclair, NJ. And, six grandchildren Noam, Jonah, Yaakov, Adira, Meir, Chana as well as a brother, Albert Silberman of Roseland.
