Financial scholarships for first-time candidates arae available through the Federal Government and the State of Pennsylvania for the entire tuition of $2,500. Once you have completed the application and paid your $65.00 nonrefundable application fee, send an email to csadjpea@temple.edu. Include your name, candidate number (if known), certification area you selected, and date of application submission. Paperwork will then be filed for your scholarship. Qualified candidates will automatically be awarded all subsidy funds (both state and federal). Please allow 6-8 weeks and then check My Profile for the status of your payments. If there is a problem, please email the Center.
GlaxoSmithKlein scholarship funds are available for candidate pursuing the EC/Gen, MC/Gen, EA/Science, and AYA/Science certificates. Funds are available for candidates who teach in Philadelphia Public School Districts. Below is a list of School Districts currently offering financial incentives to Candidates and National Board Certified Teachers. (Please check with school district for accuracy or revisions.)

| Great Valley | $2,000 each year of the life of the certificate, which shall be counted as part of salary for retirement purposes | |
| Lampeter Strasburg | $4,000 annual stipend for the life of the certificate | |
| Lancaster | Two salary step adjustment on the salary schedule; adjustments are made for teachers already at or near the top salary step | |
| Lower Dauphin | $2,000 annually | |
| Manheim Central School District | An annual stipend of $7,000 per year for each year that the individual holds the certificate | |
| Mechanicsburg | Up to $2,500 for expenses to receive certificate plus $2,000 per year | |
| Milton Hershey School | $2,500 stipend annually for the life of the certificate; National Board Certification will also count for 90 hours toward Pennsylvania's Act 48 and will be submitted to the State Department of Education | |
| Norristown | $2,000 annual stipend for the life of the certificate, which is part of salary for retirement purposes | |
| North Penn | Reimbursement up to $2,000 and a stipend of $2,000 a year for the life of the certificate | |
| Perkiomen Valley | $2,000 a year for five years following certification, plus tuition reimbursement for District pre-approved courses leading to National Board certification | |
| Philadelphia | Reimburse classroom teachers up to $2500 for fees and expenses after the teacher receives certification. Teachers will receive 1 release day within 30 days before portfolio due date. An annual bonus of $7,500 for the life of the certificate and may be requested to assist or mentor other candidates | |
| Souderton | Nationally certified teachers who are not at or receiving credits toward the Doctoral level receive $2,000 a year bonus | |

| West Chester | Reimbursement of up to $2,300 in fees, plus $2000 a year for three years following successful completion of the certificate | |
