Transportation, Parking and Accessibility

Limited automobile parking is available at Temple Main Campus.  There are several van accessible and other HP spaces in campus lots and some limited on-street spaces.  Refer to Parking Services website for details on locations and restrictions http://www.temple.edu/parking/hppark.html.

On Main campus, a shuttle bus and an escort van service are available. Call either “1-TRIP” from a campus phone, or 215-204-7934 (Voice), or 215-204-2357 (TTY), or refer to Office of Facilities Management website at http://www.temple.edu/facilities/transhome1.htm

Public transportation is available at Temple Main Campus using a variety of SEPTA light rail, surface and subway routes. Refer to http://septa.org/maps/click_map.html for more information. SEPTA has made an effort to improve transportation for persons with physical disabilities. Refer to http://septa.org/service/accessible_septa.html for specifics.

In general, most buildings and facilities at all Temple University campuses are wheelchair accessible. Maps indicate accessible entrances in situations where some entrances are stepped.

Upper floors of all campus buildings are accessible by elevators. If an elevator does not respond, ask someone to verify that the unit is not stopped on another floor.  Alert DRS and/or Facilities Management at 215-204-1818 immediately so that prompt repairs can be made.   In Residence Halls, contact Front Desk staff and Campus Police at 215-204-1234 to report difficulties.

Some elevators on Main Campus require a key for use. The keys are available for loan from DRS. Keys may be required for elevators in Biological Life Building, Curtis Hall and Pearson/McGonigle Halls.
