DRS staff arranges sign language interpreting and real time captioning services without charge for students, upon request. Students in need of these services should discuss specific needs with DRS staff as early as possible. Students should register for classes and make requests at least two months before each semester. DRS staff also coordinates interpreting/captioning services for meetings and other activities. Students should make requests directly to DRS at least 10 days in advance of the event or as soon as the need is known.

In the event of class cancellations or other times when scheduled interpreting/captioning services are not needed, students should notify DRS immediately. It is also the student's responsibility to inform DRS without delay if such services are not appropriate to meet the needs of specific programs.
