The Pride of the Cherry and White, the Temple University Diamond Marching Band presents exciting and innovative contemporary shows during the fall semester.

Band performances each year are varied and exciting. Activities are carefully arranged so that the time involved should not be a strain on your schedule. The Diamond Band performs at all home games and also travels to select away games.

Throughout the years, other performances by the Marching Band have ranged from participation in the first Sugar Bowl in 1935 when Temple played Tulane, to trips to the Mirage Bowl held in Tokyo, Japan and the Garden State Bowl at Giants Stadium. In addition, the Diamond Band has performed for the “We the People 200” Parade celebrating the bicentennial of our Constitution, numerous appearances for the Philadelphia Eagles, high school exhibitions, and the Collegiate Marching Band Festival in Allentown. In the Fall 2002, the Diamond Marching Band also apeared on The Plaza in New York for the Today Show.

The Diamond Marching Band’s large and diverse membership provides challenge and excitement not only for instrumentalists, but also for Colorguard members.
