The Pride of the Cherry and White

Founded in 1925, the Temple University Bands have enjoyed over 80 years of excellence in musical performance. From the Diamond Marching Band and Basketball Pep Bands to the Collegiate Concert Band and Wind Symphony, the Temple Bands have developed the highest standards of excellence both in the athletic arena and the concert hall.

The Temple Bands are comprised of students from most of the schools, colleges, and campuses of the university. Membership provides Temple students with an opportunity to continue their musical activities and growth while serving as an excellent way to meet classmates and develop lasting friendships. Rehearsal and performance schedules are sensitive to college life and, in addition to the excitement of being a part of Division I college football, members of the Diamond Marching Band are also eligible to receive course credit and scholarships.

Bands play a large role in the musical life of Temple University. Highly acclaimed, all of the organizations perform in the finest traditions of the college band, and there is a place for you in the Diamond Band!
