Susan D. Calkins, Ph.D.
Susan D. Calkins is a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She received his Ph.D. from University of Maryland in 1990. Dr. Calkins is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at UNCG and a Mentor Faculty at The Center for Developmental Science at Chapel Hill.
Susan D. Calkins' research interests include social and emotional development in infancy and early childhood. She has different collaborative research projects named The RIGHT Track Research Project, The S.T.A.R. Project, and Durham Child Health and Development Study. These projects examine the development and developmental trajectories of early disruptive behavior, emotional and cognitive predictors of early school success, and understand child social, emotional, and cognitive development from infancy though age three, respectively.
