Welcome to
the
Developmental Science Lab
at Temple University!
We study how infants and children
make sense of the world around them, particularly how they come to
understand the actions of other people. We study children's development with a variety of measures,
including behavioral tasks and simple measurements of children's brain
activity using a technique called EEG. The lab director is Dr. Peter
J. Marshall, whose research has been published in professional journals and
books, child
development textbooks, and in the popular media.
Our research depends on parents
who are interested in taking part in the process of scientific
discovery! If you are a parent and are interested in finding out
more about our current studies, click on the links "For Parents" and
"Current Studies" to the left.
If you are a prospective graduate
student interested in working with Dr. Marshall, or a Temple undergraduate
interested in finding out more about getting research experience in the lab,
please click on "For Students".
