Community Pharmacy Practice

The Department of Pharmacy Practice invites applications for clinical educator track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The level of appointment will be based on individual qualifications and professional goals.

Temple University School of Pharmacy is accepting applications from pharmacists eager to develop patient-oriented pharmacy services in the community pharmacy setting. This is a full time faculty position. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to provide pharmaceutical care through disease state management, medication therapy management, or immunization services. Candidates should have experience mentoring pharmacy students in the community practice environment. Licensure as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an innovative pharmacy practice program and take a leadership role in establishing a community pharmacy practice residency program. Some classroom teaching is required.

Temple University is in the midst of unprecedented growth with the goal to significantly enhance its research capability.  Opportunities for independent and collaborative research are available and encouraged. The School of Pharmacy houses a Core Facility for Pharmacokinetics and Bioanalysis, the Jayne Haines Center for Pharmacogenomics and Drug Safety, and is engaged in several collaborative research relationships with colleagues in the School of Medicine and Temple University Hospital.
