Clinical Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (DOT)

Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2008

Temple University is offering an advanced Clinical Doctorate in Occupational therapy Leadership (DOT) in its well-established post-professional program. The DOT is a 30 credit graduate program offered in a distance education format. The program prepares therapists to be advanced clinical specialists, program developers, and clinical educators. A heavy emphasis is placed on the use of clinical research for evidence based practice.

Students have 21 credits of required coursework and 9 credits of specialty coursework in their area of clinical interest. The specialty clinical coursework can be interdisciplinary coursework or the professional enhancement course offerings within the department. Students can receive a Professional Enhancement Course Completion Certificate (see Professional Enhancement Course Completion Certificates) in a variety of areas through their specialty coursework while completing the Doctorate of Occupational Therapy.
