Mission and Goals of The Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry

The mission of The Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry is to provide excellence and innovation in the education and continued development of clinically competent general dentists, the provision of high quality oral health care services and preventive programs to the community, and the pursuit of scholarly activities and research leading to new scientific discoveries in dentistry.

The goals of the School of Dentistry are to:

  • Train and educate competent general practitioners capable of providing broad-based patient-oriented care.
  • Promote and emphasize rigorous scholarship and high academic performance.
  • Expand the body of knowledge in order to improve community health.
  • Prepare students to continually improve the quality of care by incorporating new advances in science and technology into practice.
  • Train and educate dental researchers and specialists.
  • Establish and maintain continuing education programs for the professional community.
  • Provide high quality general and specialty dental care services to the community.
