| Temple University: A comprehensive public research university with more than 34,000 students. It has a distinguished faculty in 17 schools and colleges, including schools of Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Podiatry, and Dentistry, and a renowned Health Sciences Center. Temple is one of Pennsylvania's three public research universities, along with the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University. | National Dental Association: NDA is the premier dental organization for ethnic minorities. It represents a family of 10,000 dentists, students, hygienists, assistants, spouses, and the communities they serve. It is the parent organization of the Student National Dental Association, and umbrella to the National Dental Hygienists Association, the National Dental Assistants Association, and the Auxiliary to the NDA (spouses). |

| Native American Health Center of Excellence Consortium: Established in 1993 at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Colleges of Dentistry and Medicine, the Native American Center of Excellence Consortium is designated as the only Native American Center among the dental schools in the United States and only one of four located in a College of Medicine. |

| Student National Dental Association (SNDA): An organization of approximately 1,100 minority dental student members who are from African-American, Hispanic, and Native backgrounds from among the approximately 21,000 dental students enrolled at the 56 US dental schools. Since 1970, SNDA has become an integral minority students and minority dental health practioners, with the ultimate goal of improving the health manpower distribution among the minority population as defined by the Department of Health and Human Services. SNDA Regional and National meetings are held annually to advance and refine the collective efforts of the organization. |
