Temple University offers excellent group health insurance plans through several insurance companies at discounted rates. There are open enrollment periods twice each year. Representatives are available at the beginning of the school year to explain the plans and answer questions. Detailed information is available through the Admissions Office.
Temple University's Student Health Services for the Health Sciences Campus is designed to provide accessible and routine medical care at low cost. Physician and nurse practitioner services are available by appointment. Referrals can be made for dermatology services, counseling, drug and alcohol services, health education and HIV testing at the Main Campus. Student Health Services at HSC provides low-cost immunizations and TB screening for dental students. There are additional fees for laboratory and diagnostic tests and medications.

Counseling services are available to dental students at the Main Campus of Temple University. Specific services include counseling for individuals and couples, eating disorders, relationship/interpersonal problems, and stress disorders.

The primary library for dental students is the Health Sciences Center Library South, located on the second floor of Building 600 which contains the dental, allied health, and pharmacy collections. The Health Sciences Center Library in Kresge Hall at 3440 North Broad Street, which contains medicine and pharmacology literature, is also open to all students.
Several online health-related databases, full-text electronic textbooks and journals are available at the Health Sciences Center Library South. Interlibrary Loan service provides access to resources of other college and university libraries, as well as those of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.
For students who choose to study in the School during late evening hours, an escort service comprised of personnel from Campus Safety Services is available to accompany the student home (if nearby), to public transportation, or to his or her car. The service is available from dusk to dawn by calling 1-TRIP or 215-204-TRIP.
Secure, supervised parking is available to all dental students. Students may contact the Office of Parking Services at 215-707-CARS, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, for parking areas, hours of operation, and rates.
